Hello Can anyone tell me if there has been any bad PTO ASSY Bearings that have gone bad on the RX1 motors. This bearing is located just behind the drive clutch and is bolted to the cover with six bolts. I have had a squeeling noise since it was new. It gets louder as you rev the motor up. Have around 700 miles on it. It does it with the clutch off also. Have listen to other machines and they seem to be alittle quieter. It still seems to run good. Or is these motors alittle more noiser on the timing chain side then what I think they should be? Was really worried something is not right. And does anyone know if this bearing is replaceable by just pulling the old one off the shalf with out having to tear the motor completely down to replace it with a new PTO ASSY. PLEASE Any Info is appreicated.

Joe dont know about any squeeling but there is quite a bit of noise that comes from that area in the earlier RX1s. Usually rattling though. And that is very common.

Hi Joe,
There are two bearings on the PTO one inner one outer which is a much larger. You cannot remove the PTO assembly without removing the water pump first. There is a small chain that runs around the PTO and goes down to a sprocket on the water pump shaft that drives the water pump and oil pump. If you remove the waterpump the sprocket will hang free maybe if your REAL carefull you might be able to get the PTO out. Would be tough with motor in the sled. The six hex bolts are removed first then the allens around the case. LOL
