my uncle has a 2003 rx1. lastnight he started it up and noticed the warning light coming on. the system was the motor sign. the light pattern was that it would blink 2 times and stop, then 2 times and stop, and so on. i went to the technical pages at TY and looked up the rx1 warning light codes and it says its the handwarmers. he told me he unpluged them started it up and still the same problem. also, he plugged the in again and it was still the same. anyone know whats going on? he was thinking it was an oil issue because he is kind of scared now because my rx1 mtn died a few days ago. please let me know!

Use these pages from the manual to check the handwarmers. If you unplug them, there is no continuity and the light will still go on.

Hey RedRocket. Where can I get a PDF of a service Manual? Preferably for an 05.
Are they down loadable somewhere?

Thanks

I can only find the owners manual on the Yamaha site. I bought the CD with all the manuals and videos from ebay. If your email can accept it, I can email you the service manual pdf file, it's about 12mb. I know my Gmail account can send and accept up to 20mb attachments.

Yep bad handwarmer. Needs good hand warmers to make a circuit. I have fixed 2 like this.

Hey RR...I found the same thing on the Yamaha site.
I think I do have an E mail that could accept it. If you want something let me know. Would be glad too.
If you do send it try Khill@dls.net OR I thought AOL has 20MB storage. If so...that one is bluefxdwg3@aol.com.
Now that I think about it that first e mail might be 100MB total storage and 10MB per e mail...not sure.
I also have a SBC account. Maybe put all 3 of these on the mail and see what goes thru?
That one is hemispherespins@sbcglobal.net.

Thanks a ton!

Snowdog,

I just sent it to all 3 email addresses, hopefully it goes through.
