Hey guys help.
:?
The "joint" or key that connects the speedometer cable to the drive shaft broke and the part in the drive shaft is still in there.
HOW DO I GET THIS OUT? It seems easy enough to replace if I can just get the old peice out.
ANY simple techniques.
This is an not a RX  but a 98 xtc deluxe
Thanks in advance

Yamadoo,
I've had this happen to my sleds quite a few times in the past years, at first I thought I was putting the flexkey in backwards after a track change out therefore making the flexkey turn in a different direction than normal and causing it to unwind, so now I make sure to keep the key orientation the same and they still do it every once in a while, I guess a new one each time taken out would be in order.
Anyways, here's what I've done on the stubborn ones.
--Buy a new key first so that you can see the size of the key.
--Center punch the center of that key mess.
--Drill it out using a much smaller size bit than the actual size of the key. A right angle air drill works nice in tight spots.
--Now, utilizing a dental pick tool simply pull out all of the spring like metal material.
There, now that I've told you of the Method Of My Madness I'm sure others will follow with theirs !!!
