Anyone install the hindle header and muffler on their viper yet? I have mine all installed, but the threaded piece for the sensor just above the muffler is the wrong size. Is there supposed to be an adapter or something?

I don't have one, but I would think it should have one. I can't see why that wouldn't come with the kit.

Thanks Grim... Looks like that's what I am missing. I'll call them tomorrow.

Curious to hear how Hindle system works for you, I have been looking at one but season has ended here now.

My stock muffler blew apart, no replacement mufflers available either. I took the oppertunity to eliminiate anoter cat product off my sled. Apparently some people have also had some issues with headers failing as well. I got my system through Dave at hurricane performance. He is a great guy and did everything he could to get me the parts quick so I could be back on the trail for one last ride.

Curious, did your Viper backfire at all?

- 2008 nytro custom! 2014 viper custom
Mine came with an insert to allow you to use the stock O2 sensor or take it out for an auto tuner. This Hindle system is no different from any other exhaust they have built, very high degree of quality on all welds and the fit is amazing! Do not have any second thoughts about bolting one of these headers on! The hardest part is to decide on how loud you want the exhaust to sound!
I switched from an excel header on my nytro to a hindle last year and will never run anything but a hindle. (nothing against excel!)
As long as I own a Yamaha they will always have two things on them
1) ulmer intake!
2) hindle exhaust
