Small pop / backfire with header and exhaust

Hey Jeff, I am finding I have the backfire when I hammer the throttle. I just did the new ECU flash and I was blaming it for that but I was told that it could be a crack in my header or leak.

Also remember these engines have a system to reduce engine braking. It does this by opening the IACV which means it goes lean on deceleration. That can make the popping too.

But mine does not get it on deceleration, but rather when I hammer the throttle.

Oh. That is different. Must be a leak or really rich.

You probably don't have one on it then I had a trouble with the one I installed on my sled backfired at wot
