I just traded my rx1 for a apex gt with the low chrome v-shaped windshield, my question is where are you guys putting your trail permits on the sled so they don't look stupid? hood? windshield? air box? would like to see a picture if you got any?

No matter what it looks bad. I put mine on the air box as close to the light assembly as possible. That way you can change out windshields to without having to purchase multiple permits.

That is where I have put mine for two years and it stays on GREAT!
If you are worried put a dab of clear finger nail polish on the four corners to secure it? Polish works great on any other stickers as well!

On the air box lid as suggested above. It sticks there very well and you can change windshields without worry.
Air box lid as well... first year I had the corners start to come up, i just trimmed with a razor blade to the angled raised bumps on the air box cover and it was fine.... last year no problems with the corners staying put.....

sticker
why give the dnr a chance to stop you, put on lower part of w/s, even
if they are shitty green.

Re: sticker
A long as it's below or above the headlight and centered on the vehicle they won't stop you. The main thing would be to make sure it's visible, two years ago I put it on the Mtn. riser and while you cold see it, they weren't used to looking for it there. the result, well look at my avatar. No ticket but I did get stopped three times that weekend so I ended up buying another permit. Your welcome for the extra smooth trails. I would say airbox as it seems to stay there, just degrease it and warm it up before placing on there.

airbox. It is what it is...
I mounted mine on top of the guage cluster and had no problems what so ever. I do have the stock windshield that came on the Attak that you can see thru as this would not work with the chrome ones.
