Put the silverstar lamps in Saturday and went to check the high beam. The gray button is gone! Sure it was on there after last ride before dropping off at dealer. Didn't notice it gone when I picked it up. Dealer says you can't but the button, have to pay $89 for whole switch #$%&* Anyone got a extra switch or know if the button snaps or screws in?

The button slides/snaps in place, if I recall correctly, Definitely doesn't screw in place. I broke mine after confusing it for the choke one dark morning. I was able to crazy glue it, but yours is gone. Good luck finding one.

Look in the classifieds. I am sure somoen has one laying around somewhere with as many sleds as there are being parted out.

Someone at the dealer probably broke it off. The dealerships employees are so careless at least in my area. I hate to take my sled in.

I have the same problem with my kill switch button. I rolled my sled over once and it broke off and still havent found any replacement button yet. I contacted my dealer if they could get the button only and not the entire switch but they did´nt give me an answer I could use. But check out this post where a guy got the button only from his dealer through their RTA.

Thanks for the link Ernie. Called the dealer back and asked him to look into it through the RTA.

You could always do this and have the switch in a better position too.
I used a small toggle switch with a marine grade boot and relocated my switch to an easier to reach position.

I used one from an Exciter that I had to cut the brake lever off .It then left me with a nice hole for the teather cord. :)

Gee Phantom, since you're not using the stock one why don't you send it to me :D ;)! I'll see what the dealer tells me about getting one. If they don't come through I've been checking the internet and found some switches that are illuminated and look like they might work fine.

Never heard back from my dealer I bought two new RX-1 from. Went to CNY Powersports where I bought my R6. Within a week Jay got me one for free! You have to take the switch out to install the button as it has a groove that holds it into the switch. Good to go now, WAITING ON #$%&* SNOW.
