I finally had a chance to open her up last week in Northern Maine. After running it wide open for any longer than about 3 to 5 min or riding in dust behind another rider it would not idle and go into what I call Thor hell. I would slow down coming into a corner and it would stop! A coupe of time someone following almost took me out. I disconnected the Thor and made sure my Idle was around 1200 rpm. After riding it the same conditions it idles between 5k to 6k RPM’s. The machine would not stop! I started killing my brakes and I if I shut her down it would diesel and backfire!!!!

Could the auto cooling to the carbs be not functioning?

Any one else had this happen?

Thanks!

I think you mean tors?

Sounds like you could have a bad plug.
Shouldn't ever diesel, but sounds like its from idling too high.
Auto cooling will never fail, its engine coolant.

Make sure that your filter is clean and change the plugs. Adjust the idle to about 1500 when the engine is WARM.

Ever sync your carbs?
