Let's see those high mileage winders and what has been done to them.
I have a 2018 that has had a 280 precision efi tune since 3k miles. Currently at 10,000 miles. Major repairs:
Bulkhead, front heat exchanger, and driveshaft @ 7500 miles under yes warranty.
New track @7500 miles.
Upper gear @ 3k miles.
Plenty of other upgrades and basic maintenance along the way.

I now have 15,000kms on my 2019 Cross Crountry 9000. Tuned since 3000kms with MAXSpool16. Three top gear changes (I change preventatively every 4000-5000kms), BOP Driveshaft saver since 1400kms with no spinning on shaft. New chain, gears, new track, all new bearings everywhere at 1000okms (all chaincase/shafts). Rebuilt all shocks twice. Clutch was grooving and replaced under warranty at 4500kms, new one is fine, no cracks has Dalton weights.

Super reliable 270hp, gas and go!

New drive shaft, new track, new crank sensor, oil tank seal replaced TWICE, damn that ROV!!! 2 top gears, new chain, new turbo force muffler, rollers in both clutches, bushings in secondary and helix. Tuned from day one. Eco trail for 3k. Powertrail the rest of the way. 22/41 gears. Still on stock clutches with Thunder heavy hitters and 911. Still pulls like a beast!! What a great motor YAMAHA!! Best snowmobile motor ever built. I’m probably forgetting something else I replaced! Lol. Yup new fuel pump. Fuel return line rerouted also!

23,000 miles and 750 hrs, did my share of trackshaft, upper gear and bushings, along with the other Artic Cat issues. TD tuned from 4,500 miles, ran flawless, addicted to the power they can produce, no way I could ever go back. Handled like a dream, best handling and most comfortable sled I've had to date.

My dad is at almost 13,000 miles, stock.

Only work other than regular maintenance is a driveshaft and bearing at 7,500 miles.

I haven't done a valve adjustment yet. I maybe should have on my 09 Nytro but didn't and had 31,000 miles on it. Sold it to a buddy and it has about 33,000 on it now and he hasn't done it either. If the new Winders excite me I may get a new one for next year and start over.

I just checked my '17 998 valve lash at 5800 miles (just for kicks). I changed 3 of the 12 valve shims. Two were too loose, and one was too tight.

Rehashing this thread. I'm at 8,800 miles and will get close to 10,000 miles when the season is over if things continue as they are. I have changed my top gear once, BOP driveshaft saver since 2,000 miles, original track, some wheels ( went to J&T this year), rebuilt shocks before last season but only did 450 miles, changed plugs, original clutch with machined secondary, TP rollers, glide washers and springs, and have been running max spool 17 for 5,000 miles. I do not go flat out to the bars but every so often. I run half to 3/4 most of the time with the occasional squeeze when necessary. I go through the sled thoroughly every season. This year everything looked good and it is running great. Should I be replacing things other than the known stuff, like the chain, lower gears, shaft, clutch to stay ahead of any issues or if it looks good keep running these parts. Of course a i lean toward new but with these supply chain issues I have the Apex race ready if need be.

drive Shafts, upper gears, reverse actuators, fuel pumps, shocks, wheels, tri-hubs, 4 wheel kits, tracks, many bearings, chains and gears. Relays, handwarmer, cross shaft, many idler wheels….
