High temp light always on

Did you ever figure it out?

The light was the "low coolant temp light" that was coming on and off throughout the ride. I found that the rubber boot under the gauge pod was pulled away from the connector allowing snowdust to buid up and form ice in the connection. This shorted the input to the pod. I cleaned up the connection and put some dielectric grease on it. I also put a small black zip tie around the connector and the boot to keep it from pulling apart and I mounted it down on the black light cover. Should work well.

Had the same problem on my 07 and i think its a build up of snow and ice at the tunnel cooler up front. It seems to pack in and not clear and then holds heat. As soon as i cleared it the light went out and we were good to go for a while and had to do it again in about 30 mi or so. sometomes sooner than that. depended how fast or slow we were going.im going to open up the hole in the front plastic of sled in front of radiator to allow more air flow to that radiator. i do not have a cooling fan like others have talked about being on and still overheating. by the way this was happening in 10 above degree weather and my light was not flickering and never seen the red one come on. we still rode it all day with no issues after clearing snow. nekt time it happens flip sled on side and check for snow pack up by radiator.

Here is a great fix to the boot pulling off of the gauge pod. I mounted it directly to the headlight cover plastic. Very easy mod and keeps the pod stationary. It's easier to see now as well with any type of riser.
