Anybody heard anything on the boss seat coming out for the nytro? I need something and it looks like a wrp +2" seat is a nice option. Not comfortable with the xtx as of right now. Need to rise the seat or sell the sled. I seen somewhere that boss has a seat for the nytro coming out...
boss isnt making 4 stroke seats, they got some sort of deal with a/c. I sent you a pm thou.
I have the mountain mod seat. It has a small tool box big enough for tool poach, gloves, and a small towel, but it is on pricey side. Does let you keep your original one in tack. I have not rode enough to say I love it yet, but is way better than original. Is tapered in front, but fairly wide where you set (lighter too)

Probably the most cost effective solution is the Nytro Hi-Ryze seat kit:

I have this kit, its very nice. Makes it much more comfortable than the stocker, cause of the added foam and the added height is very nice.
I didn't do a perfect job installing it, so it has a little wrinkle...but I think it still looks better than stock. I never liked the blue.

sleddingfarmer is that the hi ryze? Even there advertised pics dont look that great. It doesnt have the yamaha fit and finish. I would however have a professisional do the install.

Yup thats it. I did the install in a real hurry, so its not perfect. Its a pretty easy install to do yourself, although I would recommend a good electric staple gun to slam those stables into the plastic.

How much rise to you think it had? Firmer or softer then stock?

I think it probably makes a guy sit up close to 2 inches higher realistically, probably not a full 2 inches. And its pretty dense foam, but plenty soft. Its much more comfy than stock since the stock seat doesn't have a ton of foam on it to begin with.
I would say if you are looking for an inch or so of more rise, and much much more comfort, you will be very happy with this kit.
If you are looking for 2 or more inches of rise, and not as concerned with comfort, then you might want to spend the extra money on the assault seat, or even the Skinz seat.

I can get a assault seat for the same price as the hi ryze, well with in 7 bucks.

That would be a tough choice. I guess it still comes down to maximum comfort vs maximum height. I've heard the assault seat is a little firm, but I've never sat on one.
I liked how the kit stayed the same height all the way to the gas tank, where as the assault seat dropped back down as it got close to the tank.

yeah - I supposed if you are able to get the WRP seat for ~$200 then it does come down to preference. I have sat on the WRP seat on a Nytro and it was very nice. I agree it does taper down much faster at the tank but the overall fit and finish is better then the seat kit IMHO. For me it was $130 cheaper ($200 vs. $330) to go with the seat kit so it was an easier decision.

I would pay Seat King to install either kit to be honest. The 329.00 installed plus one way shipping is to much for me plus how long would the seat be gone. If I just order the wrp kit I could have it done in a day for 25.00. I just called boss and they said maybe a couple on months. I found an add that sez availible in January. Glad i called!
