just wondering why they would cut out that hole in the tunnel. the snow is going to build up under the seat for sure. if its just a weight thing, i guess it could be covered with a sheild. anyone knows why

When we demoed the sleds on Muni, I asked the same question. The Yamaha rep told me it was for cooling the pipe. It was a fairly large hole, but wasn't finallized for size yet. didn't seem to collect a whole lot of snow though. Pipe melted it fairly fast. Hope this helped.

I talked to Yami rep about the hole and he told me the same,it was for cooling the pipe.
He also said the finish product would have a screen covering the openning.

hey thanks for that info, i hope they do cover it cause i think it will be a problem on longer rides. i just snowchecked a gt for my wife so i was concerned over it. seen them last week for the first time and thought they were awesome.

Only if you have a bladder control problem while grinning from ear to ear. I did ride one in 2 feet of fresh snow as well as in the bumps and there was no problem with snow build up , the other sleds Vector/ Apex are much worse.
