My sled didn't have the monoshock, thus no large hole from the dial, but I assume that the mounting plate would cover this hole easily.

I think grimm is right, I have a 03 with no dial but looking at pictures of the dial the hole would be covered up by the inside mounting plate.
If your mono is in good shape and you want to sell you will want to include the dial to the new buyer anyway.
ZX2 is absolutly awesome!

I installed it in my 06' RTX and Grimm is right, the mounting plate on the inside covers the hole. It would be a great place to add a circular Yamaha tuning fork symbol.

Great idea! Does anyone have pictures of the hole covered by the plate yet. I will be putting one in my 06 and want to know if it will look ok or not.

hole
I put one in my 05, the mounting plate covers the hole nicely, doesn't look bad at all. I'd consider different options though the zx2 is alot of bucks and so far for me I'm not that impressed with it, it isn't the be all end all, and alot of guys have had success with Doo, Cat, and Polaris skids for alot less $$$.
