Is this turning out to be a Epic snow year or what!
Had a meltdown earlier but WOW we are just getting hammered lately. Was out grooming last night and it was actually a bit worrying.Kind of wishing I had a longtrack about now.I think I might add a shovel to my sled just in case

How much are you guys forecast for? we were hoping to be driving out of the snow by the time we hit Manitowoc. we are expecting 16-20" here in Chicagoland. time will tell and make the final decission on when we start our drive for Munising.

The storm is spreading from Texas to the Maritimes. We are supposed to get 30cm here. There's easily 4-5' of snow at elevation (1000ft.) I am so glad I put on the 136"!

I'm just gonna throw in that while this is the most snow I've seen in the 6 years I've lived/worked in northern Minnesota, my buddies that log all tell me that this is more like "it used to be", so maybe from like 1990 to 2000 we got a lot more snow here than in the last decade? And as far as temperatures go, this winter and last winter have been substantially warmer, on the whole, than the previous ones I've experienced. I've seen -37, -29, and -28 as the coldest temps at my house this year, and last year the coldest we got was -33 (right on New Years Eve.) The year before that, I had three mornings that it was past -40, and 12 more that were past -30. But yes, this has been a GREAT winter for riding! I can't wait to see what we get in the next two months, which is when we usually get all our big snowfalls anyway

Heard 6-20" here in Central NY thru tomorrow into Thursday and cold.
We got about 5" this morning then it stopped but suppossed to fire back up tonight. Hope the weather quacks are right for once!
Club's poker run is this weekend, we haven't been able to ride it in the last 2 Winters (vehicles suck)- looking FREAKIN' great right now with 'em grooming nightly and more to fall, CNY trails will be sweeeeet.
C'mon wet & heavy!!

You lucky SOBs! Send it up this way. We need more snow. The trails are barely rideable.

Worst for driving is right along the lake.Drifting is unreal.50mph wind gust right now.We got around 10in yesterday and is more coming today +lake effect.I would say I-43 is not going to be good today at least.Looks like if you take a westerly route up you would be okay.
