maybe i have the wrong idea but here is how i see it..... if your base line is 124 or 130 ect.... if you put on a pipe and it claims 10hp you should get 134 and 140 after it has been put on, the only difference between the machine should be if you have a strong or a weak motor..... but the aftermarket stuff should still give you the same gains as they claim
???
or am i out to lunch?
mind you hp numbers might be different depending on the dino it was tested on........

depends, might be 12hp bottom and mid range and only a few on top. You need to see a dyno to be sure.

I got an email from Tim Barker yesterday after I requested proof that the exhaust produced 12 hp via a dyno.
His response? "I do not have the dyno graphs right now that you are looking for. I have 6pgs of dyno numbers that we did originally on Pro Stocks dyno but not the graph that everybody is looking for.
Tim"

Cuz i haven't seen it. But then again I really didn't expect too. Ultimately, i'd say there are too many variables. Just as was posted on here about the disparity between machines (ones a strong runner and another is not, same machines), just too many variables.
X2. not that i really care about fuel economy, but b4 i put this muffler on i had a hard time getting 16-17 mpg when driving as nice as possible, best ive got after was 20. throttle response (which did get significantly better) and motor is too much fun to be worried about milage tho.

Sorry for the late reply. the only way to get rid of the rev limiter is to have Allen get you a Program for your PC111.
As far as the Ignition Module goes has anyone ever heard of a 121 Nytro going 113 Before? I sure haven't and I can tell you there is more there. I never had a chance to dial in my two speed heel clickers. I was getting 112 out of my Drag and flys every time I made a run.
Joe Haack told me the sleds he setup with a Ignition module were all faster top end then ones that didn't have it. I think my MPH readings bear that out.
kopenytro said:Hey Dirk,
I am running the same set up this year on my nytro with the exception of the ign module (haven't rode it with this set up though).
How did you remove the rev limiter and what benefits do you see in performance by running with the ignition module?
Thanks for the insight.

Im pretty sure the only way to remove the limiter is the ignition module.....the map can have the detail...but it takes the module....
for the rider looking to gain MPH over 100 its a definate benefit...
the good about the new pc5 is the two units are built in together I believe...as is the rb3

I was under the impression DynoJet was going to offer a piggy back ignition module for the PC5 in a few weeks.

You are correct.
As far as raising the limiter goes, you have to call dynojet with the serial number from PCIII/V and serial # of the Ignition controller and serial number of your sled. They will then send you a code, that you enter in that allows you to go to a screen that allows you to raise the limiter. All this is to be done when the PCIII/V and ignition controller hooked together when hooked to your laptop.

Dirk..how far are you guys running and are these GPS or radar speeds? Are you running on a plowed track, hardpack,? 112/113 are great speeds for a shorty...you geared up or stock?

If I had everything perfect ans was running on glare ice I think i'd see 115 to 116. This is dream meter and the conditions were far from perfect. If I was to slam te sled down and add a speed track I'm sure it was show over 120 dream meter speed. My nytro makes close to 150 for power. With a after market can it did make over 150. I'm sure with a after market muffler, speed track, slammed down, and running at a speed run event I could get 120 real speed. Not bad for a nytro.
Remember this is no xtx skid it's a shorty.

ya considering how high they sit and the frontal area (poor aerodynamics) thats not bad at all..
wonder what one of those new etecs could do? lol
