I have my Hot Grips installed the easy part. These grips must be installed in series which means one grip wire is connected to the other grip wire. One grip wire goes to ground and the other goes to Hot. BUT first put 2 (1 ohm, 10 watt resistors together or 4 I am not 100% sure. Can I run this to only one of the control wires that functions the hand warmers in the Yamaha cluster?
I want to control the heat with the cluster controls. Please help me get just a little smarter;

Should I tie the two hot wires going into the harness together?

I purchased 8DN from Hot Grips and just got off the phone with the electrical engineer. Our sleds put out 18 volts so these are a direct replacement for the oem grips. I cut my curved ends off the bars used a special epoxy glue provided with the grips. Will wire these up this afternoon and ride over new years. Hope to provide a report next week. Hot Grips has about 200 of these left in inventory and can be purchased on Amazon. No need to do the resistors above just wire into the existing harness, does not matter which wire goes to either of the wires coming out of the harness because the grips do not have a polarity.
