This track is just out from Camoplast. Build Date 2-8-08. It was made for the new XP Ski-Doos in a 2.86" Pitch. Of course I had to install Ski-Doo Extroverts from the 06-07 Sno-Cross 440 sled to fit the new pitch design. It is their new single ply designed track and clipped every window. It has 48 lugs and rods instead of the 54 in the std. Ripsaw. As you can see in the pictures the guide clips are of the standard design but notice that the next two in line have holes in them for weight reduction and snow holding capabilities. Notice also they are holding ice. This could be our answer to burning hifax down. I was able to tighten the track with room to spare with the 137" length. It weighs 1/2 pound more than the stock ripsaw I took out, which is only clipped every third window. The sharp studs protrude over the lugs by just over .200" Seems to hook up very good down the road, I'm sure it won't hook like a drag racer, but I won't have any vibration or studs going thru the exchanger. It also won't slow down in the MPH department like conventional studs do either. I think I'm really going to like this track!

Ski-Doo 8-tooth EXTROVERT driver PN# 504152552 (Same diameter as stock 9 tooth, no gear change required)

Camolpast Iceripper XT track PN# 9042H (Requires SKI-DOO EXTROVERT DRIVERS ABOVE FOR THE 137" LENGTH)!

Mike, how do you find this track rolls and mph versus a standard ripsaw. Heard some guys saying this new track on the skidoos rolls great and mph real well but havent tried first hand so I dont know if this is here say or not?? Thanks

Mike, on the ice ripper track, can the little stud's be replaced, or when they wear out do you have to stud the traditional way?

I have the Ice ripper 136" and LOVE it......

my version has the solid clips witch I prefer....my last track the Hacksaw had those "cheeze greaters" clip and Althought they hold snow in good snow conditions, in LOW snow condition they fill with dirt and I find they eat slidders way faster and dont slide as well as the solid clips

Justinator,
I only took it out in our field yesterday and was seeing the same dreameater speeds as I always have. I was worried about it loosing speed with the extroverts in there. Generally extroverts will loose speed. The new ski-doo XP's don't MPH good at all, and I was wondering if it was the new single ply track. It is not faster, nor is it slower. It does hook up well on our road and will be faster than 144 conventional studs. Speeds go down by 5-6 MPH by studding with 144 conventional studs and introduce alot of vibration to the Yamaha chassis. My wife's Attak vibrates so bad I started pulling studs out of it. Its now down to 108 studs, and will be getting one of these tracks soon. This track will prevent that vibration. The studs stick up higher than I figured they would. The standard iceripper started out almost flush. The new Iceripper XT studs are just slightly over .200 above the lug.

SharkAttak,
I don't think they can replaced but I can't say for sure. I would think the track would be shot by the time they are wore out. I have never replaced regular studs due to them being wore out, unless they were not carbide. I have seen guys re-use studs because they last longer then the track they are replacing, so I don't that being an issue.

how much room do you have left as far as tightening the track, I can see from the pic you have some room but do you think you'll have plenty for when the track stretches and loosens up a bit?? Thanks

I like the idea of those light weight track clips.. NOTICE in the picture, snow is clung to the clips..

This could help hyfax wear alot...

To this point the best clip design may be the waffle design that Camo-Plast put on the 2000 XCR Polaris. Top surface of clip waffled ?

This design has less surface area but acts much like a solid clips and will reduce friction !

Mike keep us posted on your set up as this just might be better ! The ice ripper studded track will
improve studing on tall lug tracks !

Daranello they may have tweaked the design of the cheese greator's ?

I was wondering the same thing. Mike - how many miles on the track when the picture was taken?

I had no miles on when picture was taken. I put 30 hard miles on and actually had to loosen as it didn't stretch as much as I thought it would. There is still room to tighten it up by 1/2-3/4 inches or so, It doesn't appear like it in the pictures however. No worries there. We'll see how it does for hyfax sticking. Last year on the smooth fully clipped track it would eat hyfax for breakfast. Funny how everyone has different results with the same setup. Too many factors involved to be conclusive. I'm just impressed with the amount of ice these clips hold compared to the solid clip next to it that is bare, and we really don't have enough snow to ride here yet either. We'll see how it does. I know one thing, I'll never have another conventially studded trail sled again. My neighbor and friend has now taken all the studs out of his RX-1 to get rid of the vibration and has picked up big time speed in the field we run in. I remember the day he put his studs in here at my place, he said they ruined a nice smooth machine on the ride home. He now has finally taken them out and claims he'll never stud again either. Interesting, as we are both into performance and so competitve.

Any more feedback on this track. Some of my studs are bent & they have nicked my rear heat exchanger so looking at replacing the track. Is it worthwhile in your opinion? I trail ride & here in the east we get a lot of thaw/freeze situations so patches of ice common. I want it for safety. Prevent #*$&@ end spinning around on me when I hit ice, DECENT traction on icy conditions & improved braking. Is it now available for our sled (Attaks) or do we still need to add ski-doo parts?

Looked it up & CB performance has this new model ICERIPPER XT. I presume it will fit on stock attak?
