LaLaLa I hope that doesnt sound to dumb, It is just that I have to move stuff around and the dealer said that on the snochecks they ususally are hereby the end of September? I ususally thought that they would be here around nov or dec? In Utah, boating season lasts way till oct, and I really do not want to put it up to early, so that is why I asked are there any threads on this? thanks for the info guys! ;)!

I have purchased 5 sleds this way from Yamaha since 1998.

All were picked up by me around November 1, plus or minus a week.

Mind you I am eastern Canada and you are a little closer to Japan.

I believe they are supposed to be paid for by November 1. You should be able to get your dealer to have it ready for you around the end of October if that is your wish.

My dealer says snowchecks are supposed to be picked up by end of Sept. When I bought my 03 I picked her up first week of Sept. We'll see when he calls on the 05.

You are close to the same region as me. My '03 LE was supposed to "start delivery in August" according to Yamaha. My dealer didn't see it until mid November. This was also the year alot of stuff got held off shore because of the dock worker lockout so you might get it by late September/earlly to mid October.

It will be nice to have it in August or September if that happens, since it will allow me time to get my studs on and mount my GPS and any other minor upgrades before Winter. But I know it will also be VERY hard to not occasionally turn the key and fire it up just to hear that SWEET sounding motor!! But I am going to stick VERY strictly to my plan of break in that is mostly in line with what Motoman wrote on his web site. So, my sled will not be turned over until I am ready to start that process.

Last fall I picked up my warrior the first week in September. Had to take deliver for the snowchecks by the end of September, but I wasn't waiting. 8) It was a long few months until the snow hit though.

RX1Forever, I think Yamaha has a good track record of delivering their sleds in September for those that snowchecked them. Dealers expect to have the balanced paid by the end of September. Many dealers, including mine, will hold onto your sled free of charge until November for those that are storage challenged.
