I bought an 07 carryover base model, closed the tunnel, added a high windshield, gage pod relocate kit, fan was installed and all updates done so far. Couple weeks ago the starter went out at 697 miles. At the same time I figured I would go throught the rest. Hyfax were transparent on one side and carbides almost gone so I replaced both, woodys 4" trail III and the yami specials, and pulled the front tensioner down two notches. Cleaned the dust off the primary and secondary, but didn't see the grease that some guys have reported. This unit was built 8/06 so I figured I would. We just got rain in eastern ND so no riding for a while, but this gave me some time to get these things done. One thing at a time, time permitting, but all in all this thing has been fun.

i have an 07 with 8000 miles(12800 km)and all updates are done on it,not once did it let me down or fail on the trail, for me it is very reliable, would by another one in a hearbeat

Mine has all the updates and some mods of my own. This year it has been 100% reliable.Really happy.

x2 updated and no problems, and a few mods of my own.

well mine has 3500 miles and isnt worth fixin .but if the sled is fixed for 09,10 then id definately get another,

My wifes 07 fx now has 1500 miles on it now. The starter has never missed a beat. All front bj's and inner bushings replaced after first 800 miles. Tunnel blocked off with ice build up at a minimum. Much tweaking with suspension handles well. Only other mod is a 2.5 rox riser with the throttle cable under the bars.

I hope its just these first few kinks to iron out cuz its really comfortable to ride and I hate borrowing another sled to go make the ride.

mine has been a total hunk of s***. it's let me down 4 times this year alone. what with it freezing twice, the starter motor having to be thawed and now today the starter relay decided to kick the bucket on the trail. i had to jump start the damn thing just to get it home.

rhino did you just get yours this year too? I loaded mine in the back of a friends truck right when I got it and hauled it to his house when it was -10 and we had to put the nibco on it for a while to get it running. It was turning over but wouldn't fire, changed the plugs and put some heet in too but I doubt that the plugs was the problem, then it overheated.

i got mine last year as a carry over all updates done but it hasn't had an easy life. it was torched once, a compleate block of ice another time, and it went for a swim late last season. i'm actually surpized that it still runs as good as it does.

Sounds like the reason its been such a pain with electrical is because you dumped it in the drink. If you beat on a sled like what you just posted..things will go bad. haha

Mines a 07 GT with just shy of 2,000 trouble free miles after i closed the tunnel.

my 07 fx has 4,000 miles and I have not had any problems. I do the regular maintenance things, change oil, grease, check bushings etc, but nothing you would call a problem. I just changed carbides on my skis that had 2400 miles and my son ran some beads on the front part and installed them on his sled to get him thru the season. I added low snow wheels in the front of the skid and i just changed my slides with 1700 miles and they prob would have gone another 500 at least. I have all the updates including the 08 suspension parts, ball joints, fan, cold start kit, and all other updates (I have a good dealer) i've closed the tunnel and put on a tall windshield as well.
