Bought my two Daughters Phazer GTs for Xmas!
Do the Phazers need something done for darting?
My Daughters are 15 & 13, so I don't need any darting!
Whats the best fix, set of small dual bars on one ski of each sled? (left ski ?)

i had more of an issue with the engine breaking on the trail than the darting.took a bit to get used to that...
...but i would guess a set of new skis would fix a darting issue....i dont spend a lot of time on trails though so its not a big deal for me...

Shaper carbides and turning the rubbers under the spindles took care of the darting on mine.

I never had a darting issue. More so the Nytro. Great choise Sir, your daughters will love them.

I put dual four inch carbides on and the sled does not dart at all. It's my wife's sled and my son rides it often and because of that, I wanted something that would track extremely straight. The dual carbides work for this purpose. Actually, they worked so well at tracking that I took off my C&A Razors from my Attak and installed the doolies on the stock skis.

That may be the case, yukonranger, but I've been to Watson Lake, and they have no where near the trail system or traffic of an "everyday" Michigan or Wisconsin trail. These trails are littered with ruts created by deep keeled skis or Simmons or Ski Doo skis. Even if you have the proper toe-out, you will track/follow/dart in others ruts.

Bought my 13 year old son a 08 Phazer RTX. I put 96 studs on it and 6" shaper bars. It doesn't dart at all, it's the best sled I've got in fact. You do want to make sure the toe out is 1/4 inch. But your dealer should have set it up that way. They will love their sleds,,,,,by the way NICE PRESENT DAD.....

Putting the ski spacers all to the outside also helped alot since it is wider than everyone else now.Wont follow the tracks.Also helped cornering.

Maybe I never tried it personally, but I would just put them on both sides. Doesnt hurt to try it out first though.

My son has an RTX and it darts. I have tried the toe-out and turning the rubber around, forget about it, just put dual runners on both skis now right from the start before the snow is here.

@ ecopter you are probably right, new skis would help alot for sure. Thats awesome that you've been to watson, not many have lol
