I have a 2005 RX-1 ER with the stock adjustable rear monoshock suspension.

How can I tell if my shock needs a rebuild?

I rode it the other day and it felt like I was bottoming out all the time, even when it was on max hard and the bumps were minor. I only weight about 155 lbs too?

It feels like the rear sags too. When I pick up on the rear bumper i can pick it up about 6 inches before I feel resistance.

Not sure if this matter but there is also slack in the limiter strap when the strap is on the last holes and the shock is set to max hard.

Thanks guys!

If the Spring is mounted on the shock correctly, and you have several inches of sag, then you have a shock problem. The bottoming is another indicator of the problem. Give Bruce a call at Pioneer Performance. He is always willing to talk with us and answer shock questions. They typically also have a good replacement for that shock.

thanks Len I'll give him a call.

My bumpstops arent dimpled from bottoming out but I can feel it when I ride.
