Hi All,

Can the rear shock and spring assembly be removed out of an 05 RX!-ER without removing rear suspension?

If front and rear bolt are removed, is this assembly in compression if rear of sled is jack up off ground?

I've seen picture of compressing this spring to change c-clip position, but for me it would be easier out of suspension.

Thanks,
Chris

I think I found the answer to this.

Disconnect transfer rod then with a jack stand, play with pressure of track on floor and the spring assy should come out and go back in without removing whole rear suspension.

Just undo your front limiter strap and jack the rear end high enough to get the track off the ground and undo your shock bolts and RA cable...

It'll only take a extra 5 min to get the hole skid out and check all your bushings at the same time...

But don't forget either way undo your front limiter strap, and reinstall it once everything else is back in place, first thing off last 1 on.
