Ok my rear shock is really really soft lots of sag....I asked my dealer to set up the rear shock to clip 2 cam 6.

How can I tell if its really set on clip 2

BTW I'm 250 lbs geared up

In this picture the shock is on the second clip and the preload set to seven.

If you are going to move the c-clip on the shock over the first notch you will need to have the shock revalved. The stock shock valving will not keep up with the higher spring rate.

I am 260 w/ gear and I ride with the c-clip on the 3rd notch and the 1st step. Shock was revalved more on the rebound to help stop the spring board effect

Ya I know I need a revale job, but its riding season, don't really want to ship of my shox now....if there was a shop in ontario that I could drive to and they knew what they were doing I would do that....otherwise I will ship it off to Pioneer in he summer

there is a place called shock teck in ontario that is suppose to be awsome, so i hear. i will see if i can find the site. they say they have the mono figured out

Yeah, I would LOVE there number or website...Thanks

i found it off here. i think it is shock tec or shoktec, com. his prices were good. i have it on my work email. forgot to tell ya, thanks. the rtx is slower then my attak. you did a good job at detuning it. lol.

I just got my Mono Shock back from ShockTec and installed it last night.
They did a rebuild and revalve. I already had the big-boy spring on the second clip. Went out for a 175km test run today and all I can say is WOW. What a difference, I only had to stand up once. It is amazing how much more fun the ride is when you are actually on the seat and not being ejected from every stutter bump. This work is worth the cost. You won't regret it.

Exactly, do not delay revalving a mono at least an 06'. After my shock work was done I could actually ride the sled and not be in fear of pulling a superman after every hit. I was litteraly affraid of hitting any bumps, not to mention the constant bottoming. Don't wait, get it out, you will not regret it.

how many miles you guys have when your revalving? i dont real think my 06' needs it at less then 700 miles?

You're not kidding..get it done. I am considering getting the compression adjustable reservoir from Pioneer, but I don't want to take the shock out as it's time to ride...just wondering if anyone has added this...although I'm 95% happy now..just can't leave well enough alone..lol.
