How did steve Steve do in todays in Sno-x today?

No – neither made the final – they both raced in the same LCQ – top 3 out of 6 went on.

Seems they have the drag race figured out – but the way they move back so fast - I suspect the clutches are heating.

I still say they have the potential to win – they just don’t have the old guy talent of Bender for Polaris and Hibbert for Cat.

Look at the GPX in the beginning – a winning sled – in its day – if one got the power to the track.

I hear they are giving up 70 lbs??? This is what it was last year at the geneva race and man when you watched those guys by the end of the race they looked fatigued. muscleing around an additional 70 lbs would be tough for anyone to endure but Robbie M figured out how to do it once.

Giving up 70lbs?

Weight is most noticeable at the start when all have 0 momentum…. they seem to have wicked starts. In a news statement before last season – it was said the sled weight is competitive.

Again – don’t worry….the sled has it – when someone figures out the package –they will be consistently on the podium.

It’s an inside joke with my old race mechanic…Yamaha sled engineers have always designed winning packages - the guys that build it simply don’t follow instructions.

In addition – this ain’t no backyard racing – they are competing against the best sled minds in the world. The guys behind the fast teams have been around since the 70’s.

I was away from sleds for 2 decades and came back in 99…. attended a race meeting ..made a fool of myself asking about new innovations - only to ride the sled a week later – and quickly learned the only basic change from the 70’s was the physical size and weight.

Don't worry - they will be up front. Its there!

Yes -it was written - that they changed the power curve to meet the demands of snoX. I don't think HP is holding them back.

I listened to it live and they commented that the front ends of the FX Nytro sleds were showing much more bounce, so it sounded like a suspension issue to me. They both had the holeshot, just couldn't keep the rest in line, but hopefully they'll get whatever issues sorted out for next round ;)!
