hi
i just bought a set of carbs for my rx1 hat have the updated float bowls on them. i lan to take the float bowls off of them and put them on the carbs that is on my sled right now. anyone know what i got to do to install these to my old carbs with the old version of the float bowls? i'm trying to install the updated float bowls on my rx1 carbs. i was told that they just bolt on and i dont have to touch nothing else. i dont have to adjust the floats? i am new at this!! so do they just bolt on with no adjustaments required or can someone explain to me how to do this?

Yes the new float bowls is a bolt on, but there is more to the float bowl kit than just the float bowls.
The float bowl kit comes with new jet seating and o-rings and stuff to lower the main jets down into the larger float bowls. Don't bother switching all that over to your current carbs. It's way easier to move over any main jets, pilot jets and carb springs from your current carbs to the ones you've just bought.
You are better off just putting in the carbs you just bought and adjust them the same as your current carbs. Just my 2 cents.
I have the updated float bowls installed in my turbo sled, works well.

you would also have to change the needle settings. it is very simple switch over. Instead of a flat screw driver to take the jet out use a 10 mm wrench and pull the tube that the jet goes in out of your carbs, and put the one out of the new set on. Before you start go to lowes menards home depot and get 16 4 mmx 10mm allen head bolts to put the float bowls back on. Maxdlx

Congrats on getting your bowls, it seemed to be quite the undertaking!

Take off your carb bowls. Unscrew the tube that the jet sits in, and then take the jet out of that tube. Take the new carbs, and take the bowl off, unscrew the tube the jet sits in. Yake out the jet, and replace with your jet, then put that tube with your jet in your carbs and tighten. Then put the deep bowls on your carbs and screw tight. It is just that easy. I don't have pics. Maxdlx

no the main jet is in the end of it. Should be a 135 or 130 or something like that. It wont be a low number like 25 or 20. Maxdlx
