How do you take ski-pressure off a 2006 RS Rage??

I'm wondering how i can take some ski-pressure off my 06 rage. The limiter strap is already out as far as it can go down from the factory. So, is the adjustment made on the transfer rod??? Is there anything else i can adjust to get less ski-pressure? Remember, the limiter strap is all the way down already. Thanks, Jord

Depending on where they are adjusted now, you may be able to loosen the springs on the shocks. Also, you can adjust transfer rods. Be careful not to over do it. If you are not careful, you can start a teeter totter, pivoting on the front part of the skid. If this happens, the sled may get very erratic. I recommend making small adjustments and one adjustment at a time.
 
If you want to take off ski pressure to make it easier to turn and dart less, go to the Woody's dooly carbides on the skis. You can't really reduce ski pressure with the mono skid. There is no front arm spring like there was in the old susp. You can make it transfer more using the transfer rod but I don't think that is what your after. Mike Knapp#17
 
I tried to reduce the ski pressure on my 06 Rage on every outing last year. I have the limiter strap lengthened and the preload on the front ski springs backed off to a minimum. I agree with KnappAttack that heavy steering is a trait with this suspension.
That being said, I just got back from my dealer and they went over the process for setting up the rear suspension. It is the same as the set up for the Mono on the Apex as found in this post http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?t=20318 . What they told me additional to this post is that once the mono spring length is properly set, you then set the bumper height. This is done by measuring the distance from the rear bumper to the floor and then adjusting the front shock springs to raise or lower the front bumper height as necessary to achieve the same height as the rear. This bumper height measurement is to be done with the rider on the sled with all riding gear on. My dealer tells me that they have done this to several sleds and it has made a great deal of difference in steering pressure. This is going to be the next thing that I try for this heavy steering condition and will report my findings, I’d be curious to hear if anyone else has tried this set up on a Rage and their findings.

All they are doing there is setting up the ride height, or sit in height of the rear susp. It will not affect ski pressure like your used to with the old suspensions. You might try taking some preload off the front ski shocks. Maybe 4 rounds off would help.
 
ski doo pilot 5.7 and 6.9's have much lower steering effot. They may be a little shorter vertically, thus putting a little more weight on the front of the skid.
Steering effort was probably 50% less with the 6.9's on a RS Venture vs. stock ski that had a huge center keel.
