I assume the collar butts against something on the shaft, and I heard the bearing is tapered. What is supposed to keep the collar from moving towards the secondary, as others have had happen. I had my secondary bolt fall off, and the collar slid out, but I can't swear I tightened it properly, although I can't believe I forgot. I tapped it back in place, and it hasn't backed out. I had the secondary locked, but recently floated it. I can't figure out what is holding it in.

bearing
its supost go from the inside out. as per the servise manual and there is nothing there to hold it in place. like the 04,s witch has a longer sleve and is theraded on the end and a lock nut to go on the therads. check your build date i would guess that is june 02. yours is not installed in the correct order
