Tapered collar on my jackshaft bearing has finally started to move. Looks like it is out about 1/4". I need to tear into it tonight before I ride tomorrow, any advice, tricks, or words of wisdom sould be appreciated.

Please explain. The collar should only be able to back out to the secondary, removing the free-play. The free play is about 1/8". I would advise locking the secondary, and your problem is over. Better yet, lock it with a belt adjuster.
