Until it quits
sorry, just had to do it lol! No experience with an RX, but my Attak and Apex XTX both will go 40-50 miles. Never ran out, but did run 49 miles with the light on the Apex. It took 9 gal. to fill it.

When the light comes on, ride it and let us know....

I've only seen my light once on my RX1, went 18 miles straight to the gas station. I hate cutting it close, I usually fill up around 1/4 tank if at all possible. Only reason I cut it that close was thanks to an Arctic Cat in tow.

I came really close once. I know it was on for 35-40km (hard to measure on map). I think I was within 1 gallon of being dry. sapling killer had 2.5 gallons left. I will admit I was pushing hard and having fun while I was riding! once the light came on, ol granny throttle came out to stretch that bugger as far as I could.

On my apex I know that normally when the light comes on there is 3 gal left of the 9.4 gallon tank. I carry extra fuel so I have pushed it till she started to sputter than sut off. went just over 48 miles. If I remeber right the RX1's had a 10.2 gal tank? I know I made 50 miles on the old 03 RX1 after the light came on.
Snow conditions will play a big roll in the distance back to the pumps so be carefull. A guy I ride with always says never pass up a gas station cause it will get you sometime! lol
Hope this helps

Count on 30 miles [50 km] you might get 45 miles or so depending on conditions & throttle.

I got 52 km exactly... Stalled out 100feet from my driveway...never forget that day.
All the stations were closed on a Sunday early eve. Just made it ran into the groomer who had two gallons but we decided to give it to the two stroke.... It payed off... But barely.

Light came on at 118 miles, filled it and it still had a little over a gallon (imperial) so I would say from the light on 30 miles is possible 40 is iffy!
