Well i got some #*$&@ talker wantin to race me and i dunno he has a stock mach 1 3 cyl with usi skis and 144 studs

i have a rx1 warrior and 144 studs dalton clutch setup and air box mods.

im wondering will he rape me or i rape him

Pretty fast :flag:
You should take him out of the hole but I bet he'll catch and pass you if the run is long enough.......My Warrior didn't seem to have the top end.

I have 2 buds with 97 Mach 1,s. When tuned they are amazing. They beat F-7,s with ease.

That 788 3x3 is a screamer and can go all day long, there are a few real sleepers out there in the form of grand touring LE sleds ( I think made one year) that use the same 3x3 layout so If some "mature individual" wants to run you with a sedate looking 2-up of that mid to late 90s vintage make sure you know your options

I had a 97 Mach Z, 809 triple before I got my RX1. It was a former drag sled converted back to trail. Planed head, ported cases and cylinders, bored carbs, v-force reeds, piped, clutched, blah, blah, blah. The low to mid rpm snap was amazing but top end wasn't much more then my RX1. It sure got there a lot quicker though. I blew up 3 Rotax engines in one winter, that's why I have a Yammi 4-stroke now!! If he's stock, you should be OK, but if he's talking smack, it isn't stock. Count on that. There's way too many drag parts avaliable for that sled and lots of guys can make 'em go fast. Just take a look at radar runs. Those old f chassis's are all over the place at any radar run I've ever been to, and they get the job done pretty damn good.

Someone around my area got one of those grand touring LEs in my area...
Its pretty crazy watching it going up the now closed ski-hill

Just make sure the run is long enough......eventually he will have to stop for gas or will burn down, then you can wave nicely as you pas him.

plug fouling piece of ....

Yep, make it long enough. Hope he'll be carrying extra plugs with him. :moon:

On a side note, however, I know a certain Doo that was being chased all day at a radar run last weekend that couldn't be touched (even by the big guns.) He went 5 for 5 (first places.)

Your right! it is a 700 3x3 in the LE (I want my $$ back!)

Grand Touring SE guys, not LE!

The SE had the same 700 triple-triple as the Mach 1 of 97 and 98. In 99 the Grand Touring SE was dropped, only the regular Grand Touring 700 was available, with a single pipe.

And yes, they're fast... but a properly tuned RX-1 should be able to get them in 660'

My 98 GT SE 700 triple-triple was real fast. I could beat almost anybody to the other side of the lake. People would laugh when I pulled up to the line.
