I just noticed in the manual it says under trouble shooting to disconnect them and reconnect them to bypass.. I did that to my 97 max I had.. With the heated carbs it ran that way for 7,000 trouble free miles.. All this talk just got me thinking about it.. MM. :ORC

To all:

You can certainly bypass the TORS if you so desire and you will never have a TORS-related issue ever agin.... BUT, you will not have any sort of safety protection if your throttle cable was to freeze open at all.

I suppose it's your call, but seeing as there have been nearly 0 officially reported incidents with the TORS, I would certainly leave it connected.

Sorry guys, I forgot my digital camera at home this weekend when I went back to the shop and didn't get any pictures.

I would only use it as a limp in mode type of thing.. I just can't locate it. On my V-max it was right there.. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. :o| MM.
