How much power would be too much for this type of riding?? I know everyone has their own riding style, but there has to be a comfortable limit, that won't make trail riding unbearable. Thanks, for the help :rocks: :yam:[/quote]

I've always listened to the wisdom of a older, wiser sledding buddy of mine. I'm sure that he would advise:
"Too much power is just enough." ;)!

Then we out to ask this question. SInce I am not by the mountains a super charger would be better for the trails right? Since the throttle response is a little more even for the in and out of the turns. RIght or wrong? Not tryting to start a feud but still learning about the power differnce. Heard they are about the same price installed??

what have you done to get to the 150???

This is the list of what I have had done by Hauk Powersports. They have the same options on their new Nytro test sled, and say it came in at 151HP on the dyno.
1) clutch kit
2) Power sheave
3) Header pipe assembley
4) Silencer (single style)
5) Their new programmer, which just came out. It replaces the fuel regulator setup for an extra cost.
6) K&N filter intake
7) Slight gearing change.

The sled is picked 96 right now. Thinking of going 144. I was thinking to be around 180-185 would be a nice number. Like one guy said it has to be based upon the delivery. I am not looking for an all out lake racer. More or less quick and fun on the long straights, and between the turns. The when I finally find that fun field or lake of course I will have to play ;)! . Thinking of what the next step should be ???

I'd be very suprised if you were pullin 150 horse with that setup of Haucks...

How much hp is enough? Well, I'm still wondering. This year I'm going 270. I've been to 260, and it scares the CRAP out of most people just with that much, but once you've been there, you WILL want more...

I don't see a super beeing better on the trails. BECAUSE of the small lag you have on a turbo, it will fit better. You'll get better milage even. The turbo is there WHEN you need it, the super is there immidicatly (sp?), wich means your sled will ALWAYS go out of the hole faster, but you don't always want this. When you learn how to ride a turbo, you'll never go back. Still havenæt found someone that has changed from turbo to super and been happy, but alot of guys have gone the other way round...

I say my riding is about 40% trails, and I still haven't gotten to the point where I've found enough... Hopefully the Nytro with powderlites stage 2 will be just that...enough...we'll see...
