how to know if donuts are leaking

Well I'm back to doing the donuts myself. I am thinking of just changing them and not removing the flex pipes. I want to know if I can remove the exhust header pipe and muffler pipe without dropping the suspension on my single shot xtx. In the past I hung the mono suspension by the front bolt and took the flex pipes off as well as removing the allen head screws and exhaust screws with lot's of heat. If I can't remove the rusty bolts this time I'm thinking of drilling the rivets out as some did. I think it allows removal of the entire system but will it come out with out hanging the suspension again?

been awhile but i did the ones on my 11 apex xtx without removing the suspenion or flex pipes.

I think by drilling the bracket rivets out the pipe and muffler can be moved back.
