My Apex has stopped charging the battery.
From what I have read, I believe I either have a bad stator, or a bad voltage regulator.

How do I test the voltage regulator vs. the stator?

Not sure where to start my diagnosis. In 15 miles of riding I went from a fully charged brand new battery, to absolutely dead battery with not enough juice to even turn the motor over. I noticed the headlights were dimming too. Back in the garage, battery recharges fine and starts sled up instantly.

You can test them with a multimeter. The values are in the service manual that is posted in the stickies at the top of this section
