I am going out to the Mountains again on thursday. I have been running the stock boost switch with a 700 jet in the pitot tube. It runs around 8-9 psi. I am running a mix of race fuel and would like to get about 13psi or so. Can I just change the pitot jet to a 400? Do I have to adjust the waste gate rod? I think that I will try a 500 in the pitot, what do you guys think??

Shorten the waste gate rod about three turns.

Put a valve (I used a cheap lawn mower gas shut off valve) in line between your main jet on the blower and the waste gate and mount it on your exhaust cover. You can have infinite adjustment without removing anything. I would not run too far with 50/50 on 13psi, Put in straight race and pinch it right off to 15-16lbs if you really want to scream
So changing the pitot jet won't effect the boost?? The kit said to change it to adjust boost if you didn't have a controller. They say to run a 700jet for low boost and a 400 jet for high boost??

Pitot jet effects float bowel pressure. Used for fine tuning fuel curve. Has nothing to do with amount of boost.

Changing the jet is to change your fuel for the different levels of boost. It does not change the boost level
