hey guys i just boight a garmin 60cx and i downloaded the mapsource program on my computer, then i bought a sd chip with topographic maps...i now want to look at the topographic maps on my computer using map source, how do i do it?

Some SD cards with maps cant be loaded on a PC. Not sure about yours. All my Topo maps are on the Topo Canada disks from Garmin. There is a program out there that might help you. I think its called easy GPS. Unless the maps you have are Garmin you may have trouble using mapsource

ahhh i see , my sd card is from trak maps...il try getting easy gps

also my buddy has a 50km trail on his gps that he wants to send me by email,once i receive it how am i supposed to load the trail into my gps?

Just save it as a Garmin Database file .gdb in your My Garmin folder on the PC. Not sure if MAp Source will read any other typ of file.Then open it up in your Mapsource program. Hook up your GPS to the PC with the USB cable and then downlaod the track to the GPS.
