What do you mean by 8's? Different size plug, if so what would br the advantage?

thanks,

Different heat range. They will burn hotter.Cannondales came with the exact same plug we use CR9eKB.Many guys had hard starts and fouled plugs switching to a CR8EKB helped alot. Now dont go do this unless you have a problem starting it since it might make the sled run hotter or detonate.I dont THINK so so I will try them this year.

Thats right. At most it would hole a piston or overheat though so not much risk since I have spares and looking for a reason to put that ported head on.

thanks for the info - we'll look forward to your review then.

Wow still have never gotten around to changing stock plugs!Someone remind me to do this this fall please.

i change my plugs every year. and every time they show signs of wear. They are not fouled but the electrode is worn down. This has kept my sled starting good every year. after the first season i did not do this and had starting issues on first start up after sitting all summer. Now i never have an issue. Also just because a plug is fouled you do not need to replace them, just hit them with a torch and wire brush them to clean them up. they will work just like new"unless they are worn down"

8500 mi and change.Original plugs.Always started. No cold start update either.I believe some of my other machines with the twin electrode plugs like we have stock have close to ten years on them.I never start them unless going for a ride or in very least make sure to fully warm it up.On the quads some of which are modded a good tune is key. That meant lots of dyno time for the modded ones.Wife has a Camry and although they are different plugs and Platinums stock I removed them at 80,000 mi an 130,000 mi and they still look like new so back in they went.A good battery and fuelinjection have really made starts easier.Probably engine longevity has increased hugely also since most of the vehicles oil looks brand new even after 5000mi.Never get that with a carb and choke.
