Left on thurs the 9th, rode up and came back on the 10th. Put on a little over 500km on in two days. Trails were great on the west side of algonquin park, but got thinner closer to north bay. Stayed at the clarion hotel in north bay, trail went right to their parking Lot...that was awesome.
The return trip, we rode the D all the way down, great ride, trail was in good shape. Caught lots of freshly groomed sections.
Hats off to the clubs in district 7&11 for making the snow they have go a long way. Things were dry, snow was sugary as there hadnt been a snowfall in over two weeks. There was constant grooming keeping the trail in shape. It was snowing Friday for our trip south, which was desperately needed. This will help big time.
Spoke to some guys who came from the Ottawa river valley(matawa pembroke area), they said the snow mass and snow quality was awesome....
