Well, they don't rust, that's all I know for sure.

Ok so its official I cant find anything that says different. Anyways I would not use a elevator bolt...I would drill the 1 and 1/8 inch holes 1st, the elevator bolts would be not very effective with no dome shape to them and a carriage bolt is too much dome and not wide enough and not a much cheaper route THE END.Mark O said:Bob Miller said:They are not Stainless but Plated!

Thats great I'm glad its working for you, and its probally better than nothing... but wider area just like the wider hyfax yammi has gone with means better wear, better performance..I personally would rather spend a few extra bucks and buy something that was made especially for a certain application you usually would benifit from it in the longer run ...you get what you pay for usually falls into play. Also I drilled 5/16 holes in my hyfax to add extra cooling and I would be concerned with the pointier head and less surface area of a carriage bolt IMO.Him said:Yama-Crazy said:Ok so its official I cant find anything that says different. I've done about 5000km on carriage bolts and they still work very well and the hyfax hasn't been damaged by the dome. So I don't think it's to much dome, and it cost me $5 for a complete set to a 136"![]()

I am running a 151/2", extrovert drivers with every third window punched out and clipped every third. Does the hole get drilled through the rubber where there is no clip??? Confused....

That is exactly where you put them!![]()
