I normally am able to pull them out thru the windows....haven't replaced them on my warrior yet, so not sure if they will fit.
I have read where guys will widen a single window by carefully cutting it to allow the hyfax to fit thru.
They were tight on my old vmax's, but with a bit of effort and a little soap, they would fit thru the windows.

I was told that if you have the Ripsaw track, Then you have to drop the skid because the hifax is bigger than the windows. I havn't checked for myself yet though.

Depends on your sliders. If you use the newer "wide" sliders, drop skid or make the hole bigger. If you use the older narrow sliders, they'll fit right through the hole with some effort.

I havne't bought any sliders yet, I'm calling there soon, do I ask for narrow ones?

hyfax
I don't know anything about wide vs. narrow hyfax, but when I replace mine I just slide them through the windows. The worst part of it is the screws. Be very careful when reinstalling them, because they strip easily and having a tap on hand is a must (in case you strip them, you will have to re-tap the hole.) The hyfax I am using are ones the dealer gives me when I ask them for new ones for an '05 RX-1. One thing I have learned to do also is to lube the hyfax before sliding them on. I actually just use some grease or silicone on the hyfax and put some on the rail itself. This also helps when I go to take them off. Some say it's a lot easier to loosen the track too, but I have found you don't necessarily have to.

I like to drop the suspension and check it all out for breaks and worn bushings...it only takes a few extra minutes and makes it a lot easier. My .02...

Re: hyfax
YUP!!
I tip my sled on its side, take out the screw, take a big screw driver and drive the slide back until its hitting the track, I line it up with a window (you have to twist it a little because it is a tight fit but it will fit out) then drive the slide back until I can get a pair of vise grips on it, Then I clamp the vise grips on the piece sticking out and pull it off.
I then warm the rail with a torch and spray a little bit of wd-40 in the new slide and on the rail. Then slide on the new hifax and screw it in.
I dont loosen my track or anything its really pretty easy (30-45 minute job)

i have to agree with shanks! it does barely fit through the window , takes a little bit of persuasion with a screw driver but they will go!

thru the hole is the best way imo.take screw out, then at back, wedge a flat screw driver between slide and rail to pop it out about 3-4 inches, line it up in the hole manually then start sled, pop in reverse and gently turn track,it will fall on the floor without a sweat.done it last week and it was a breeze.make sure to drill the new hyfax hole a tad bigger, will help when reinstalling it

Sweet... it fit through, and I'm ready for the new ones, but I also noticed, that I have the inside rear wheel bearing was shot... so I need to replace that.... is there any reason that they don't run a 4th wheel? I think I'm going to buy 2 wheels and just cut the spacers accordingly, and run a fourth... Hopefully be back in buisness soon!!
on both my 03 and my 05 I lay the machine on one side usually the right, undo the keeper screws, using a large screw driver and hammer drive them back about 2 inches. I stick the large screw driver through the track window (from the front) between the hyfax and the rail, prop the foot rail on a block to lift the track off the ground. Fire her up in forward & touch the throttle to engage the clutch. I can change both in under 10 min. I also put a bit of windex or soap on the new one to help ease sliding it into place.
