noticed my running boards have a lack of support towards the rear of the sled. Anyone know any tricks or homemade support brackets I can use for reinforcement? It's a 2003 RX shorty

Does your sled have the tunnel braces that yamaha used to sell? They where optional on the 03 rx 1. If they have not been installed, you could try on ebay for a set or muffin works for a set of his if you cannot find any.

Couldn't find a used set, and muffin works told me that their braces wouldn't fit on my 03

has pics in there from when i put a set on my 1997 et410. i still remeber parts girl telling me the would not fit my sled. i told her i had a hammer and rivit gun that said they would fit. still on there to this day. 2nd pic is a good pic of them installed.
could always put a set of these

and make them fit like i did on my et.
