I recently measured the hyfax wear at the rear idler wheel and found i had 16mm left each side. The rest of the hyfax has well over 20mm + and looks relatively new. I understand min wear is 10.5mm. I also understand that the hyfax when new wears very rapidly at that wheel but then slows down. Do i need to change them?

Second what do people find to be the ice scratchers for our sleds?

Thanks!

It's common practice to taper the very end of the hyfax to prevent the edge from catching when using reverse. Sounds normal to me, if I'm reading your post right.

Summit Seeker scratchers here. Mounted under foot rails. Best ones Ive used for my Nytro...just dont drive in rev when deployed.... cough cough
