I finally pulled the plug on the Hygear linkage kit together with the Float 3 Dual Pressure.

However, not 100% sure I got the shock dialled correctly, or whether the shock/DP is leaking... In the install instructions it said to submerge the shock after the DP kit is mounted, but since I was up at the cabin when installing it I couldn't check it for leaks...

I put the DP champer at approx 200 PSI and the shock at approx 120 PSI. Does this sound about right for a 200# rider? The Hygear instruction says around 200 PSI in the shock as well, sounds way too much to me. Btw, I meassured sag, and I got approx 1/3 sag with 120 PSI in the shock, so guess that is correct..? :)

After riding it a bit I noticed it bottomed out too easily, and when I reattached the pump to the DP champer, I had zero pressure (or at least that's what the pump read, might not have "connected" properly to the valve??). I'm not a big fan of these air shocks, but went for the DP kit because of the easy adjustability if I ride 2-up, which I do from time to time. Anyone else experiencing leak of these DP kits? If so, what's the fix?

Air shocks asaid, if I want to upgrade the rear shock, anyone with a good recommodation? Zbroz Exit X0, X1 or X2, Hygear Axis, Fox 1.5 Zero Pro, Elka stage 2, 4 or 5, any other? Does Öhlins have a shock for this skid? I don't have unlimited budget so a good allround shock that is better than a Float 3 (with DP kit) and works with the Hygear linkage kit.

Btw; I have a '15 XTX and ride maybe 70% trail, Fox QS3 front shocks and Curve skis.

I only have the dual pressure kit but I run mine at 120psi and my shocks at 60psi. I'm also 200 lbs. I did notice on the one canister that it leaked out so I pumped it as full as I could and then bled it back down to 120psi in hopes to seat everything. It worked and I haven't had an issue since

I'll test that this summer :)

I run my rear DP can at 250 and my Float at 200 with the rear skid linkage kit installed, I run an Evol air shock in the center and run the Evol chamber at 150 and 40 shock. Skis I run 150 in the DP and 65 in shock. I go 250 to 260 lb rider.

I had no leakage , but did find that the pump that comes with it doesn't work well with that Schrader valve. I had the same issue as you . I picked up a another off of Amazon and works great. I run 200/150 and have a Zbros 160lb spring in the front.

Interesting! Was it a Fox pump you bought from Amazon? A friend have a Fox pump, will try that one out.

I also have the Zbroz 160# spring, so we are basically running the same setup.

Thinking about buying the Hygear linkage kit for my '16 XTX. Does it help a lot over the rough and studder trails? Worth the money? absolutely love how it rides on groomed trails, but not so much on the rough stuff. Thanks!

To me.. for any Viper XTX, its a must have. It really transforms the sled into what it should be.

I read the reviews here and bought a set, both the linkage and the DP kit. I got it only at the end of the season so haven't got to test it properly yet.
And as you can see in my original post, I don't think I have got the DP kit working properly; I'm not sure the DP chamber is holding any air, as the skid bottomed out too easily on my first ride after I installed it.
I took the shock apart a few weeks ago to check for leaks, but couldn't find any, which is good.
When pumping up the shock, the DP chamber seems to fill up very quickly, and when I've pumped it up to 200 psi, the gauge on the pump shows the pressure is dropping. It takes a lot longer to pump up the shock itself to 120 psi, but I guess it's because the shock holds more air..??
After pumping up both, and reconnecting the pump to the DP chamber again, the gauge shows no pressure... So not sure what's going on there...
I'll contact Hygear to get some guidance.

Yes, you have a leak.. I can check my DP can weeks later and its only maybe changed by 5lbs. The shock has way more volume so it will take more to pump up for sure. Call Hygear, u do have a problem with the can.

I never rode my sled stock, I put mine on last summer and this past winter I only had to tighten up my middle shock spring three threads from snug and have been totally happy with the set up. The only thing may have done is the float shock revalved
