Looking for input on two things:
1) Front springs: I'm going to be sending my front shocks (09 XTX, stock GYTR clickers) in to Hygear for a rebuild & revalve. Considering swapping the stock springs for either their double or triple rate springs. Pricing on either set is close enough to not worry about the difference. I'm just looking for overall improvement on bump capabilities, and if there's improvement on steering effort and ski lift, as I've read there probably will be, that's a bonus I guess. I emailed Hygear a few times, but didn't really get much action on my questions, so... what's the difference between the DR and TR springs? Do both have the effect of lowering the front end significantly? I'm a bit reluctant to lower it too much & give up suspension travel in the front. Those of you who have either, what are your observations on how it affected your Nytro?
2) Center spring: I did the Star Suspension kit last season - it was a huge improvement to my skid, really love it. As part of that mod, I changed the stock center spring to a BRP spring (heavier) that Robert at Star suggested. Had them rebuild/revalve both rear shocks last season as well. So, wondering if Hygear's double rate center spring would be worth using instead of the BRP heavy spring. The one area that I would like to still improve on the skid is small bumps/trail chatter... it takes everything else really well, but the chatter (even with everything pretty soft (torsion & rear clicker)) is a bit annoying at times. Anyone happen to use the DR center with the Star kit?
Thanks for any info you folks might have to offer!
