I can't believe I'm saying this

So a lttle update. I sold the MXZ X 800 etec in March...

I bought a Nytro last thursday...

It's an 08 Nytro RTX. It has Simmons skis, studded, GYTR front bumper, Two brothers Carbon Fiber muffler, Rox hand guards, aftermarket skid plate in white.

Needs a set of sliders... Front sub-frame is straight. Has 3470miles on her now. Most likely needs lower front ball joints.. didn't reallty check them that close. Small mark in one of the checker plate stickers.

Its needs good bath and detail.. I think I can make it look nice. For the money I don't think I can go wrong.. It will need an oil change and a top up in the chain case.. will go through it more closely when I get time.

I could sell it in the fall.. or run it.. or add a turbo kit... hmm I did notice the seat seems to have lost some of its density after 3470 miles.. But all in all happy with my buy for short money. Hell I could even part it out peice by peice. She sounds so sick with that muffler. I also have the stock muffler too.

Welcome Back. ;)!
You might want to look at the one Hurricane has for sale. :bling

Buy that and I'll meet ya at the Kent Road next winter. : ^ )

Good work! I love my 08's, cant get much more bang for your buck than a 08 Nytro bought in the off season. :yam:

NICE!!! I got many friends that have switched to 2-stroke from apex's and nytro's and they Miss the 4-stroke reliability. My friend hates his new RMK Pro compared to his old Nytro. And I demo'd the new XM and realized that I enjoy Custom Apex's way more.

I have to admit, that Polaris Assault 800 has me looking! It's hard when all you've ridden is a Nytro for the last 3 years. It makes a guy wonder???? I love my Nytro but I've invested about $3,500 in extra's and it's still not perfect. It reassures me to hear that people have tried other things and they come right back to the Nytro. At this point I'm in way too deep to turn back anyway.

I don't know if i'm going to be keeping it. Time will tell. It was one of those deals where the price was right.

Since 2004

I've owned a 2004 Yamaha Viper
2006 Yamaha Apex Gt
2008 Yamaha Nytro FX
2009 Skidoo Mxz 800 X
2010 Skidoo Mxz Tnt 1200
2008 Skidoo Mxz Adrenaline 800 (April buy.. sold in May)
2011 Skidoo Mxz 800 etex X

I'm supposed to be getting a 2012 Mxz X 800 etec Rmotion soon too.. time will tell.. My heart wants to go turbo! Not sure my wallet can afford it though. lol

You have to put money in any sled to make it the way you want it and handle the way you want it....some just alittle more than others

I rode an RMK Assault 800 in the mountains, cool sled, not bad to ride, but it really bothered me the way the bars turned. Not sure I could get used to it. I didn't want one as much after riding one.

That's good to know. The assault steering looks a lot more upright. You would think that it would be easier in to handle in the mountains and tougher in the trail.

Yeah it wasn't the height, they weren't higher then my bars. It was the angle they came out and the sweep of the bars.

So i've decided to move the Nytro.. once I give it a going over.. I picked up the slides today. Ordered the oil filter on Ebay. Just need to get some oil next. I need two new lower front ball joints.. There like $80 a peice in Canada. Who has the cheapest prices on Yamaha parts in the USA?
