Put me down for the smooth trails, and I am 30.
I know lots of guys that live for the beating and adrenaline rush of rough riding, but not me. I'll take smooth trails that I can go 50-60 mph anytime. Rough trails are hard on these expensive machines, too.
I classify myself as a mileage hound.
Ditchbanging sleds encourage off-trail (read: illegal) riding and cause trail closures for the rest of us.

Who says that someone prefers rough trails just because they want a ditchbanger? I like a smooth trail as much as anybody but how long do they stay smooth? Not long in the UP :ORC
I like the idea of a light weight sled that can be thrown around in the trails when the mood arises. I also like the idea of floating on top of snow and being able to ride over snow filled ditches without the fear of sinking to the bottom :ORC

I love smooth trails as much as the next guy, but occasionally you run into crap. I like to have a sled that allows me to attack any terrain. Some guys headbob through it like it was torture, I love charging through it.

I wish you guys would quit talking about rough trails and bumps. Wife had to take me to the chiropractor and for a massage just from reading your posts. 63 next week. Sure is fun to still be able to ride a full day.

Just think of the leaf spring front and no suspension in back 1980's 50-100 miles was a big day. I'm glad those days are over. SMOOTHAGE = GOODAGE

Like Mighty and Wolfie said. It's not that we really like the "ditch banger" syndrome. In fact there are perhaps a .5% of riders out there who "like" heavy moguls.
You guys are missing the point. Its the want for a sled that CAN handle the moguls well because the simple fact is that where most of us ride you're hitting rough trail more often than not. We want a sled that we can throw around not some Goldwing on ski's. How many times does this point have to come up before some of you get it? :ORC

THanks Guys so I am not alone.
Don't get me wrong, I like to fly, have broken my share of W arms, 1 split front bulk head ( landing on flat ice is hard on stuff) but a day I dream of is long miles of smooth winding trails, with hills, drops and crests to launch off of and land on a smoooth trail. (I am drooling)
I am older but working hard on not getting OLD

Your exactly right... That is why we now pay the big bucks for the Minn DNR to do a bang up job of grooming... We must be the first state to have to buy a "trail" sticker to ride in our home state.... Trouble is that I'm afraid that the DNR has too many liberals employed that don't distribute the funds in an equitable manner.... Politics can be tough to beat.. I rode today on rough trails and all the ski trails were groomed perfectly. Wonder why?
Anyway, I'm with you on the trails, who wants to ride the bumps... I want flat as a pancake trails to run a good 200 mile day on and I will be smiling...

And I thought I was all alone on this board!!!
Hell yes I love groomed trails!!! 44 years old in a few more weeks...........I just can't (don't care to) punish myself any more.
Give me a strong, smooth ride (Attak)......tall windshield (on back order..don't care if I don't look cool).....warm hand grips (next year...I hope).......and I'm one happy customer!
No more seeing how fast I can get from point "A" to point "B"..........who cares??? Just give me a SMOOTH RIDE!!!

I just like to ride.
One needs to be in GOOD physical shape to ride the bumps... it also slows the aging process. It feels good to be able to grab 550 lbs of machine by the scruff and make it perform.... Smooth is fun, too.
