Of how nitrous will work on my 03 RX1. I have been hearing of late alot of things about the rings wont take it. Whats your opinion??

I had nitrous on my 03, and had no problems with "MY" sled. Now this is because I ran the sled hot and from hearing from everybody, that was the best thing I did to it, cause it seated the rings better. There were times I ran the temps up to 230 after each run, and then cooled down and then back to 230 again. I was one of the few that had no ring problems and no oil consumption. I put 10-20 lbs. of nitrous thru the sled that year.

I would say have a leakdown done on your sled, and see if the rings are leaking, and go from there. I would love to say throw it on and go, but I don't want anything to happen.

This is my best and honest answer for you.

That's good news to start with. How many miles on the sled?

I ran a Nitrous Express kit on my 2003.There were no problems from the nitrous kit at all.I used a 36 horsepower shot with a nozzle in each carb boot. There was a great difference in acceleration and speed without even changing the clutching.I still have the sled but now there is a front mount turbo on the stock motor.

My turbo has nos holes in it. Anyone running a turbo w/nos? I can get my hands on a nos kit..what do you think?

Should I have my pistons coated for nos before I assemble them?

I took my rings out after 8 bottles on my 03 RX1. $1250 to re-build the engine. Also pain in the A$$ as it only lasts about 1/4 to 1/2 mile and then it is out. Save your money for a turbo. In the end it would have been probably cheaper.
