I need help to make the steering feel lighter

If I compare my Nytro steering with my friends Rev and girl friend old Doo, I really have to fight my handle bar to turn. It is a good thing that I am not a small boy. I know that my front end is a lot heavier and that my C&A XTX skis make it harder to turn, but is there a way to make it easier to turn and still have great cornering. I just try putting a lot of preload on my front skid shock, the limiter strap fully out and my fox are at 75 lbs. With that new set up I have lost some cornering grip. Last year, the preload was stock, my limiter strap was move one hole in and my Fox were at 65 lbs. Cornering was better but hard still very hard to turn. I really need some advice on this one!

Wider bars or I know pilots work but they push in powder.Honestly though you will get used to hard steering and its nice to know it will turn.Give it some time to break in your arms!

Go all out and be the first one to put eps from a apex in your nytro!

If you go back to less pressure in your floats steering effort will drop but you will loose grip. I find that with the nytro it is a balancing act between the front skid preload/limiters and the spring pressure/compression on the ski shocks. I would try less pressure on Floats and either less preload or bring in the limiters back up in the center. It really is a balancing act.

You can lower your sled back down with 65psi in the floats and pull up the front limiter and install bergstroms ski savers under your carbids on your skis. Bergstrom has 1/4" and 3/8" ski savers. The carbide host bar is recessed and it reduces steering effort and you can tune your grip in the corners.

or you could increase spring preload in your center spring and back off the preload on the front shocks.
pulling the limiter up a hole will put more pressure on the skis, not take it off.
what are you running for carbide??

x2, kindve hard to get the best of both worlds, i had c+a skis and found the steering to heavy. Switched to curves and steering is much better with just a slight loss of conering bite. C+a is just a really aggressive ski and hence will steer hard when trails are set up.

I should have mentioned that I have change my handle bar by a wide 31 inches Fly bar to give me more leverage when I did install my C&A XTX. My Carbides are 6 inch shaper. I rode all weekend, and when I ride aggressive in tight twisty trails, it becomes a good workout to keep up with my friends. I will have to try some other suspension set up. I am also thinking about replacing my C&A by Curves Ski. Too bad, I really like those C&A in the fresh powder.

I love my current set up - see my sig - but have had shocks revalved at this point and installed a stiffer skid spring so not sure it is exactly apples to apples. Plus I have the standard FX. In any case, steering is not too heavy and not too light - I am pleased at both slow speeds and when going faster through the trials.

How do you like your curves in the soft snow compare to the C&A?

Try this: Tighten the REAR limiter straps one hole...it worked for me.

Also, mount the stabilizer bar on the most forward hole on the lower A arm. It helps keep the skis planted in tight corners.

You're probably not going to be able to take alot of pressure off with having C&A's, they're a very aggressive ski. Best bet is probably go to another brand like the curve's. Ive heard great things about them and the Nytros, I'm sure you already know that.
