I am thinking about getting back into the sport after a 10 years. The dealer that I used to goto passed away sometime ago and heard that the business closed shortly after. Dennis Barr's Sale & Service in DeWitt, Ia. Could anybody tell me if they are still open or not. I hope they still are, bought my first sled there in '95.

They closed this past summer. I don't think they ever got back on track after Dennis died. Iowa City motorsports or the dealer in Keiler Ws. Are you looking for new or used. Maxdlx

Rod @ Iowa City Motorsports has quite a few to choose from right now. Just about every model of Apex, Attak,Nytro, Vector, Phazer, and a few used. I was just there the other day, and there was at least 10 sleds on the floor, adn he's got more not asembled yet. He has an unbelievable inventory of just about every kind of ATV yo can think of, so he only keeps a handfull of sleds out on the floor, so don't hesitate to ask "what's in back??"
Every body there is awesome to deal with, and They are the kind of place that calls you by name after you've been there a time or two.

Ardith (Dennis wife) decided is was more of a hassle to run and closed the doors. She sold off all the lines to other dealers.
Dan K. left the shop and the shop IMO went down hill.
That being said, I would deal with Kielers or Iowa City on new sleds.
All parts and accessories I order come from PORT YAMAHA! They are great and good prices.
If you want to ride a new yamaha....drop me a pm. I am near Davenport.
BTW - Welcome to ty! Familyman

I will be looking at snow checking a sled. Looking for a dealer that won't round a person around.
Went riding around Davenport quite a few times, they have a nice trails down there.

Call Iowa City. Rod let me spend the Yammy bucks on anything I wanted, Yamaha or not. I ordered a cover for my Nytro, and just today I got news that is is still backordered. They let me cancel the order and put the money into the stud kit I ordered today. Definately great people to deal with. They do alot more than just sleds, so take that as a good or a bad. They don't keep alot of accessories for sleds, which is my only beef, but understandable to say the least.
