Do not tighten the tortion springs, you will just limit the transfer by doing that. Control the lift by adjusting the limiter. Make sure their's no slack in it, but don't over tighten it, where it pulling the skid up. The rear springs should be at the softest setting. Also, try removing the rear coupling block. It's all about the first 60 feet.... Good luck though, since I just can't see the weight of the Nytro helping you at all on ice... Snow a different story. The lightweight will prevail on ice..

Did you read His original post??? He has the strap pulled all the way up all ready and the sled is still over transferring.

anytime you want to bring something down to race I'd gladly lineup with my Pro stock 700 and we can see who the better tuner is!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All he said was he is lifting. Lifting is fine as long as it is not more then 6" at most and that is off the line....

We got COSDRA amatuer drags next weekend. Bring what ever sled you got... I'm shaking in my boots.....

To proud to admit you wrong I see. the only reason I suggested he tighten the Spring was he wask for help getting the sled to stop lifting. You ran your mouth and said DON"T TIGHTEN THE SPRING IT WILL LIMIT THE TRANSFER" Well the guy was looking for a way to limit the transfer because he pulled the strap all the way up and was still having an issue. Your wrong be a man and admit it!!!

I can tell you if I did that I would apologize.

As for your COSDRA amatuer drags if you want to race me come down to the COSDRA world series next year. That's a real race. I'm also on anchor bay every weekend I'm not riding. I'll race you anytime!!!!

Dude, your are a wild man, more like a little kid who does not get his own way..... Why would I admit I was wrong? Both just offering information... Did you even see the sled run... I know I did'nt.... But based on the information he was indicating, I thought my info made more sense, but to be honest you really need to see the sled run, before giving any advice, but I thought I could help just like you were. Lord knows we both could be wrong. Lighten up dude...

Just for your information. The world Series of ice drags were here in my home town 3 years in a row from 2003-2006.... COSDRA put them on then and still comes to our city every year for the sno drags.... So, I know what the series is like...... Never heard of your name being fast.... It must just KILL your ego to get beat, eh!.... especially from what I hear your fast Nytro can't beat an XTX!!!!!! Get over yourself, there is always somebody faster....

You were the one who attacked my post about the spring adjustment. I simply pointed out he used his Strap to it's fullest which is what you suggested he use. So the Idea that I'm acting like a kid that's not getting my own way is laughable!!!

I'm very familiar with COSDRA and the world series. I know they used to run it at the Soo. They've run it two years in a row in Port Huron which is 25 minutes from my house.

As far as My sled Verse Steve's XTX goes my sled is faster. Steve's was faster on a groomed trail on day one. that is the only place we raced day one. On day two there wasn't anywhere Steve was ahaid of me. So if your going to post results maybe you should practice what you preach and see the results first hand before you post bogus information

Race results on a trail sled are a joke and I'm well aware that there will always be someone faster. I've been humbled on more then one occasion by lesser sleds. That's why I love Humbling people on my 700!!!

alright guys...the key here is helping out another...no need to fight or pump our chests out ...anybody can be beat day to day...

IMHO tightening the torsion springs is counter productive for what it seems the guy is trying to do...I think the case here is there are TWO SETS OF STRAPS and gets confusing...I think sldfreaks point here is the front limiters will prevent excess ski lift and Dirks point is the guy says he has the straps all the way tight and most likely was referring to the rear straps...

now as to keyboard racing ...IM the slowest....
and as to racing another nytro...If I wanted I could have put my ignition box on and set my skid back up to racing and kick both of your @sses...lol

seriously....you both are good guys and like to help...lets work together..

All I know is the More tension on the torsion springs the less ski lift you have. the Guy has pulled his front limiters all the way down to stop it from transferring. Without completely locking the skid up you can start to limit transfer with the Torsion springs.

As far as key board racing goes your right you are the slowest "Now" Watch this!!!! ;)!

Get a set of adjustable transfer blocks so you can limit the rear arm movement (transfer).

Finally!!!!!!

actually the guy says he's full front limiter already so the next step would be hard on the torsions...but the best step would be to slam the skid down and tie it down...

The torsion springs won't be enough if he is still coming up to much with his front limiter strap pulled. He needs to limit the rear arm movement by either pulling the rear strap down to shorten the distance from the transfer block to the arm or get a set of adjustable transfer blocks to do the same.

Allen what do you know. I mean really you only raced professionally!!! LMAO!!!! ;)!

Thanks guys! I will try and stiffen the torsion spring to max and for the front strap well i drilled new holes and its pretty much as tight as it can go but i did loosen the preload on the front shock...and for it being too heavy on ice, im not really worried cause its got plenty of torque and theres less resistance.... but all that counts is that u have fun!

Have a fun. I love ice racing!!! ;)!

Ok so i finally settled the front end down......thanks for the help guys! Now about the races, well it was rather disappointing cause they made me race the modified class because i had chisels and i was chained down! Make sense to u guys?? It doesnt to me....anyways the only sled i ended up beating was a 800r that was also chained down. You would think they could have a stock /chisel studs class...but no lol

That does not make sense for ice drags. Snow drags I could see that as being an improved class, but not for a sanctioned ice event. Weird....
